Bible Memory is a personal project that I'm sharing publicly. This privacy policy explains how your data is handled.
What Information We Collect
- Email address (for account authentication)
- Verses you add (Bible references, text, tags, dates)
- Review history (when you reviewed verses, success/practice marks)
How We Use Your Information
- To provide sync across your devices
- To authenticate your account
- That's it. I don't sell data, share with third parties, or use analytics/tracking.
Data Storage
- Your data is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB)
- A copy is stored on my server to enable sync between devices
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (I can't see your password)
Your Rights
- Export your data (use the app's export feature)
- Delete your account (contact me via GitHub issues)
- Your verses belong to you
Security
I take reasonable precautions to protect your data, but this is a personal project. Use at your own risk—no guarantees provided.
Changes to This Policy
If I update this policy, I'll update the "Last Updated" date above.
